FAQ

What types of photography services do you offer?

I offer wedding photography and general portrait photography, and I’m open to just about anything! My booking page highlights maternity and studio sessions, families, newborns, seniors, and couples, but I’m always down for something different. Simply reach out and ask about any session types I don't have listed!

How far in advance should I book?

For portrait sessions, you can see my availability for the next few months when you click on a session type in the "Book Your Session" page. For weddings, it's ideal to reach out at least few months in advance to make sure your date is available.

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! I'm also happy to give suggestions.

Do you travel?

Yes! I’m based in the Houghton and Hancock area but love exploring new places around the U.P. and beyond. Travel within Houghton and Hancock city limits is included, and anything outside of that has a travel fee of $0.50 per mile (round trip).

What should we wear?

Wear something that feels like you. Comfort and confidence always photograph best. Choose colors that complement each other and fit the season or location. Let me know if you need a second opinion!

Can we bring props or pets?

Definitely! I love when clients bring personal touches to their session. Props like instruments, sports gear, flowers, or a cozy blanket are great. Pets are always welcome too.

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

Most galleries are delivered within one month.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If it’s too rainy, windy, or cold to shoot comfortably, we’ll simply reschedule for a better day. If it’s just a light drizzle, we can usually still make it work. I’ll always stay in touch leading up to your session so we can make the best call together.

Do you offer prints or albums?

I offer Fujifilm Instax prints as an optional add-on to your portrait session or event. I currently don’t offer prints or albums for your digital photos, but all of my galleries include high-resolution downloads that you can print anywhere you’d like.

Can you retouch blemishes or do extra edits?

Yes! All sessions include basic editing like lighting, color correction, and small touch-ups when needed. If you’d like detailed retouching on your skin, such as acne, sunburn, or bruising removal, I offer it as an optional add-on after your gallery is delivered. Pricing varies depending on what’s needed, and I’ll always give you a quote before starting any extra edits.
